Sønderborg Slot
SØNDERBORG CASTLE
Sønderborg Castle, with its magnificent location at the entrance to Sønderborg, is a national Danish icon. The castle encompasses nearly 800 years of dramatic history about Southern Jutland and Schleswig. Its many rooms feature modern exhibitions on Southern Jutland's and the borderlands' turbulent history, including King Christian II's imprisonment at the castle, Denmark's defeat in 1864, and the participation of many Danes on the German side during World War I before the Reunification in 1920.
You haven’t truly seen Southern Jutland unless you’ve visited Sønderborg Castle!
